Sonoran Desert in Bloom

El Niño has caused the Sonoran Desert near Phoenix to erupt in flower. Here’s a sampling from my walk the other day with Tom Fleischner, Edie Dillon and Ed Grumbine. Click on the Gilia species below for a 110-second video.
