Messing with Texas

by Bryan on April 3rd, 2012

In the heat and biodiversity the Lower Rio Grand Valley of  Texas, I have barely a moment to update The Daily Wing. I’m on a frenetic scouting pace for a trip I’ll be guiding here next week. But life is good: Least Grebe, White-tailed Hawk, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Green Jay, and countless other sources of shock and awe. For now, however, here’s a Yellow-headed Parrot from Sabal Palm Sanctuary along the Rio Grande south of Brownsville. Most certainly an escapee, but cool nonetheless. I’ll add a (native and wild) Green Jay below for good measure.
